Antonio Gonzaga has been in endurance sports at a competitive level since he was 12 years old, first as a triathlete throughout his adolescence and in the following decade as a runner. At the age of 30 he began to train and compete professionally in stand up paddle racing.

SUP to outrigger canoes was a natural step. In 2016, living in a hotel built by his father that faces a lake, he bought an OC6 and the following year became a partner of the 4th oldest canoe club in Brazil, Kanaloa Va’a. Since then he is dedicated exclusively to the expansion of the club and competitions in team and individual canoes.

At the age of 42, Antonio is among the best paddlers in the country and Kanaloa Va’a, is present in 11 locations in 2 Brazilian states and has more than 600 active members.

Paul Grangeiro, a lifelong athlete who moved to Florianópolis in 2020, started paddling with Kanaloa and quickly adopted it as a lifestyle. He has 30 years of experience with import and export during which he lived in both England and China. He handled the admission of goods to Brazil for the Rio de Janeiro Olympics as well as for other major sporting events.
