Imiq Paddle Sports is powered by Cam Taylor, with the help of James Prowse, Pat Mahoney, and Siobhan Thomas. The team started out in 2010 simply with the goal to bring the sport of outrigger canoe paddling to the UK and Europe. Since then paddling in the UK has had a steady growth, with new clubs, teams and paddlers joining the ranks.

Cam was inspired to start Imiq by his love of the sport. As a lifelong paddler, he finds the freedom of being in a canoe and on the water, unlike anything else.

Through Cam’s leadership in the International Va’a Federation, the Outrigger Canoe Voyaging Society and Outrigger Zone, Cam hopes to spread the love of paddling, and that feeling of freedom the water brings. With the growth of the sport and the team’s effort, it is no wonder that Great Britain will now be hosting the World Sprint Championships for the first time in history. We can’t wait to see it come together and support the process the best we can.
