Typhoon 8 was founded in 2002 by Lister Woo with the mission to bring quality paddling products and services to Hong Kong. The Hong Kong tropical cyclone warning signals 1-8 indicate the severity of a storm, and thus the inspiration behind the company name. Lister and his gang will push the limits and like most of us paddlers, enjoy the thrill of a downwind run.

A committed paddler and ‘Hongkonger’, Lister has been paddling in HK since 1994 and uses his in-depth experience to share his passion for paddling with anyone who is interested. As a member of the Hong Kong Island Paddle Club and head coach for several dragon boating teams, Lister will take any chance he can to get on the water and develop paddling skills.
